Live action, analysis and reaction from the King Power Stadium as Leicester City take on Chelsea from 3pm looking to get the three points that will push them away from the Premier League relegation zone

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Leicester Citys Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

What a difference a month can make. This time in February, there was a renewed excitement afterCitysmashed eight goals past Aston Villa and Spurs. Now, theres a gloomy atmosphere engulfing the club again.

Four straight defeats in all competitions, including back-to-back Premier League matches in which they failed to register a shot on target, one of them to the team at the bottom of the table, has seen the optimism disappear. More importantly, it means City are just two points above the relegation zone.

Defeat to Chelsea and wins for a few of the teams behind them will see them slip into the bottom three this weekend, and so the pressure is on. The visitors have had their own struggles, but arrive on the back of a pair of victories and perhaps with renewed belief.

We are live at the King Power Stadium to bring you action, analysis, and reaction from todays game. Kick-off is at 3pm, with team news due at 2pm.

Its not for me, its been in the backdrop all season. No, I dont think so (a distraction for the squad), were very much together. You want your team to be supported at home and the crowd to be behind them. You guys have been here since the very first game against Brentford. Without the activity we had in the summer, that frustration has spilled over into the first game of the season and from that, thats how its been. We have to get through that, we have to get the points. The supporters are clearly disappointed we didnt get the result. It doesnt affect me. My focus is very much on the team, like it has been since Ive been here. While Im here, Ill give my very best with the group of players we have and well move on from there.

If you think of earlier in the season, we had seven games and got one point. Theres one thing that weve shown is in adverse moments, we can fight and we have a resilience. Thats what is going to be needed now for these next 12 games. Losing to Chelsea, you can do that, theyre a top team with top players who are starting to find their rhythm now off the back of a couple of games that have given them confidence. We more than matched that today but Im just disappointed with the goals we gave away and not taking our chances. One thing we are is very much together. Our spirit is there. It was great to have Jonny Evans back. Hes a really important player for us. Hopefully over the next few weeks well get one or two more back. Well keep fighting and theres still a lot of points to play for.

Kiernans still at the stage of his career hes not a regular goalscorer. I know hell be disappointed. Im happy that hes there. Its just about the contact and making that clean contact. It was a big chance. Dan Amarteys header a yard out was a big opportunity. Harry had one cleared off the line. So were there, but weve got to take those chances.

I think it was harsh on the team. By the end, when it gets to 3-1 and youre down to 10 men, that last 10 minutes, players of that quality can keep the ball and hide the ball from you, so you can come off dejected. But for large parts of the game we were right in the game.

We conceded a poor goal from the corner, but fought our way back in, and scored a really good goal. We should have scored before that with Dan Amarteys header. We finished the first half really well, playing some great football and looking a real threat. But then it was just a fraction passive at the end of the first half and if you give players of that quality that space, they can use the quality. To finish the half losing 2-1 was disappointing.

However, we regrouped at half-time. The players came out and started on the front foot. We had a couple of big chances and couldnt put them away. If you dont, especially against good sides, they can punish you, which was what happened in the end. Im disappointed because the players ran and gave everything. We just couldnt get the result.

City lose a fifth straight game for the first time since 2014.

We want Rodgers out! are the chants from the Kop.

There are more chants calling for Rodgers to be sacked at this one peters out.

Thats that for City then, as Faes sees red.

He was already on a booking, and then goes through Chukwuemeka. It looks like Marriner will let it slide, but then calls it back and shows him a second yellow.

That one will count. Only just though, there was another VAR check for offside.

But the goal stands, with Havertz crossing, Mudryk heading into the air and Kovacic taking his volley really well.

City have time to get an equaliser yet.

But the flag goes up as soon as he puts it into the net. He nor the Chelsea fans realise and they are celebrating for ages, causing lots of laughter elsewhere in the stands.

Oh no, oh no, oh no, he really wont want to see that again.

Kepa flaps at a cross, Barnes heads it back across goal and Dewsbury-Hall just has to tap into an empty net, but he gets it all wrong, scuffing the ball back into Kepas hands.

A Chelsea corner comes in and its headed down into the ground, with Ward getting out a strong right hand to parry it away.

Meanwhile, a triple sub is made, with Soumare, Tete, and Barnes on for Mendy, Amartey, and Daka.

It takes City to a 4-3-3 again. There were boos for the Soumare for Mendy sub.

Kepa comes for a cross and only punches it to Castagne, his shot back in is deflected goalwards by Souttar, but its blocked on the line.

While we have a break in play as Maddison receives treament following a late tackle by Enzo, fans in the Kop chant their support for the watching Lineker.

Oh Gary, Gary.... Gary, Gary, Gary, Gary Lineker.

Nice and simple but probably appreciated.

Thered been little sign of a City fightback up to now, but Daka flicks the ball into Iheanachos path and hes in. Theres a little too much pace on the ball and Kepa gets out first to block. They collide and Kepa needs treatment.

The half begins with a big Chelsea chance as Fofana meets a near-post corner and flicks goalwards, with Ward doing well to tip over.

Theres a change for Chelsea with Gallagher on for Felix.

Its been an action-packed half and City have probably been the better team. But it remains very easy for Chelsea to create excellent chances when they turn it on, and that Havertz goal meant there were boos at the break.

On the stroke of half-time, the visitors are back in front. Havertz with it.

There was a weirdly subdued atmosphere as it went in, but it was a lovely goal. Enzo clipped a ball over the top of the City defence and Havertz broke the offside trip to dink over Ward.

Thats a big blow, as City were well on top.

Maddison has a free-kick blocked by Fofanas elbow and he does stick it out.

It goes to a VAR check but they say no. That one will be debated.

City force Kepa into two saves in a minute as they push to go ahead.

First its a lovely move down the right involving Iheanacho and Ricardo as Maddison fires goalwards, Kepa parrying upwards. Then a cross from the right is missed by everyone and Iheanacho shoots, forcing the Spaniard into another stop.

What a strike! Its his first goal since October and its a brilliant hit.

Felix loses the ball and Ricardo neatly flicks into Dakas path. He skips around a challenge then strikes from range with his weaker left foot, finding the bottom corner. Cmon City!

Chelsea thought they led 2-0 but Felix is offside and it stays 1-0.

Its poor really, because he didnt need to be that far ahead. It was a swift move from Chelsea but City were so open at the back, and it was a simple cross from the right that Felix finished having got away from the defence.

Now its City turn to hit the woodwork!

Maddison finds space and feeds Dewsbury-Hall. He shapes himself and then strikes from 25 yards, the shot taking a nick off Koulibaly and bouncing off the top of the bar.

Its been all City for the past five minutes, but Chelsea get one attack and its almost in.

Its a long ball to Felix from Havertz and he brings it down brilliantly before running away from Ricardo. He chips Ward but the ball bounces off the outside of the post.

The missed chances continue for City as Maddison whips in a brilliant free-kick and Amartey meets it with the goal gaping two yards out. Somehow he puts the header wide.

But City have responded well to going behind.

Well that was the last thing City wanted.

Chilwell takes a corner that is headed away, but then Koulibaly crosses back to the far post, when Chilwell has come into the box. He takes a speculative volley that catches Ward out at his near post. He sprints to the City fans and cups his ears.

Its Citys first shot on target for 190 minutes of Premier League football as Maddison sees a tame effort held by Kepa.

Maddison gets tripped in the middle of the park after dribbling around a couple of challenges. He then picks himself and lofts a quick free-kick over the top towards, but he cant quite reach it before it gets to Kepa.
